After touring one
of these hotel style "Fisher Houses" where the families can
stay for little to no charge, Washington asked how much it would cost
to build a new one and give more families the ability to be with their
loved ones. When told the cost, according to witnesses, he pulled out
his check book and wrote a check out for the full amount.
