Denzel Washington helps
injured troops' families
Supporting our GIs has him open
his pocket book for family housing

By Ron Lee

San Antonio, TX - Recently, Denzel Washington and his family visited Brook Army Medical Center, in San Antonio,Texas where injured soldiers are brought in from medical facilities abroad. During the visit Washington learned that base housing for families of the wounded was in short supply.

After touring one of these hotel style "Fisher Houses" where the families can stay for little to no charge, Washington asked how much it would cost to build a new one and give more families the ability to be with their loved ones. When told the cost, according to witnesses, he pulled out his check book and wrote a check out for the full amount.
